Navigating in Orion
- If you are comfortable with web browsing, there’s little reason to think you will have much difficulty with Orion. There is only one navigation principle you should know: Never use the “Back” arrow in your browser; use other navigational aids or a “Cancel” button to end a process.
- The typical page has two parts: the left menu and the primary block of information on the right.
- When you first log in to Orion, you’ll see a screen that only lists items on the left side of the screen. The one item you want to see most is Self Service.
- Once you select Self Service, you will see a menu similar that will include the “Student Center” and “Campus Finances” at the minimum.
- Using the Student Center, you can search for classes, review your “plan,” enroll in classes, or use “My Academics” to review your transcript or review other topics.
- Any holds on your record will be listed to the right as well as any To Do items (activities you should complete). Your Enrollment Appointment will also be listed for the coming term.
- You can also update your address information directly inside Orion.
- Under “Campus Finances,” you can view elements related to your Financial Aid and your current tuition bill.
- When you finish your session, be sure to “Sign Out” of Orion using the clink at the upper right of the screen.
To Do List
- To check your items that are required by the university, you will look at your “To Do” items.
