Transcript Request

Beginning March 1, 2012, UT Dallas will charge a $10 processing fee for each official University transcript. Please note additional expedited mailing charges remain the same, at $10 per copy for domestic mailing and $25 per copy for international mailing.

Transcript requests for fall 2011 degree conferral will not be processed until the beginning of February.

Guidelines

  • All university holds must be cleared before requesting a transcript.
  • Transcripts will reflect the individual's complete record. Undergraduate and graduate transcripts are issued together.
  • Official transcripts could have a processing time of three to five working days. During peak times (after graduation and grade day), this time could be longer. Therefore, it is important that you request your official transcript in an appropriate time manner.
  • Beginning Jan. 24, 2011, official transcripts cannot be picked up in person and must be mailed to an address.
  • Official transcripts may not be requested over the telephone or the facsimile.
  • All transcript orders must be requested by the student / alumni / former student directly. Third-party released requests will only be accepted for federal or state law enforcement agency purposes.

Current Students

  • Order official transcripts through the Orion system using Galaxy portal (use NETID and password).
  • Log into the Orion system using Galaxy portal using your NetID and password.
  • Under Orion choose: Self Service
  • Choose Student Center
  • Choose under academics bar: My Academics.
  • Choose in Transcripts: Request Official Transcripts
  • Choose quantity and mailing option:
    • To mail to self, check box 'Send To My Address'. Transcripts will only be mailed to the address on file.
    • To mail to other, be sure to click the 'Edit Address' link to add a mailing address
  • Unofficial transcripts are not available online. Current students may meet with their academic advisor to obtain an unofficial transcript.

Alumni/Former Students

Alumni and former students can request an official transcript via The Office of the Registrar's Marketplace Storefront. This link will open a new secure browser window.

  • Transcripts requested will only be mailed to a student at the address on file with the Office of the Registrar or to another institution of higher education where the recipient is the Admissions Office, the Graduate School/Undergraduate Studies, Student Records/Registrar's Office, or place of employment.
  • Alumni and former students may update their addresses by completing the Address Change Request Form. You may attach the form in an email to records OR you may fax the form to 972-883-6335.

Expedited Shipping

Students, current and former, that wish to have their officials transcripts mailed via express shipping must request an official transcript via the Office of the Registrar's Marketplace Storefront.

  • Express domestic mailing is $10.00 per address, maximum of 5 depending on transcript size.
  • Express international mailing is $25.00 per address, maximum of 5 depending on transcript size.
  • Only one expedited shipping address per order - cannot ship to PO Box addresses.
  • Credit cards may only be charged once per card in a 24-hour period.
  • Please note: Expedited shipping requests do not receive priority processing. Expedited shipping fees only provide for the transcript to be shipped express after the normal processing time, typically three to five working days.

Transcripts with Attachments

For required attachments to be mailed with your official transcripts, choose the option per student status:

Current Students (only approved documents will be attached):

  1. Place your request for official transcript in Galaxy.
  2. Note the request number from your Galaxy order.
  3. Go to the Office of the Registrar's Marketplace Storefront
  4. Fill out the Transcript -Mailed with Attachments (CS) form under Current Students.

Alumni/Former Students (only approved documents will be attached):

  1. Go to the Office of the Registrar's Marketplace Storefront
  2. Fill out the Transcript -Mailed with Attachments (ALUM) form under Alumni and Former Students.
